In my history class, i have a 7 page paper due. This paper is to be on individual who had an influence on a civilization. For my paper, I have chosen Pedro Alvares Cabral, a Portuguese explorer from the 1500’s. He claimed Brazil, so I think researching about him shall greatly improve my knowledge base about the Brazilian economy. By understanding the history of Brazil’s economy, I can make form better educated opinions, a more meanigful argument, and produce stronger evidence in support of that arument.

I have chosen a topic for my papers this year: EU/ Brazil strategic economic alliance. I chose this topic because I have Portuguese, I have friends from Brazil, and this will help me better understand the country’s economic situation.

i have no idea what my topic will be for my papers this term. I’ve been so busy, i haven’t even put any thought into it. I’m sure I’m not the only one, either. on a new note, i thought Shooting an Elephant was an excellent piece. he really give you a great visual while you’re reading. it’s amazing how the opinions of people you don’t even know or like can affect your decisions.
